This isn't the team the coaches selected. I was at the coaches' meeting. This is the group that is picked by the sportswriters.

The sportswriters picked the team--which is why you'd think that it's a strange grouping.

Personally, the IH has no beef with this team. The IH didn't expect to see Debbie Smith selected; but everyone else was an expected pick...

I the biggest gripe people have with the sportswriters picking the teams is that most don't get to see all of the kids unless they play in the state tournament or they have a "big" name.

Same goes with AP state rankings. Ballots are sent out but most sportswriters haven't seen all the teams so it goes of hearsay or what is generally perceived to be correct.

I'm curious to see the AA and A teams.
