Glenn Nelson was kind enough to appoint me as the Moderator of the Big Apple. While I may venture off into other areas of the U.S., my main concentration will be on NYC girls basketball and the surrounding areas such as update, N.Y., New Jersey and Connecticut. So, my main focus will be on the Tri-State area.
I accepted this position with pride and dignity. It's a great honor to contribute to the number one girls basketball site around in Hoopgurlz.com
I plan to bring up several topics of interest which will be open for opinion and debate.
My job is to keep all of you informed about what's going on in this part of the Country in regard to NYC girls basketball.
It will also be a priviledge to get some feedback whether positive or negative from my good friend, Brooklyn Saints, who is a walking bible of NYC girls basketball. For those who don't know Brooklyn Saints, he's been a positive force and contributor to girls basketball in the New York City area. He's not just a basketball coach, but he's a mentor and a good friend. For those of you who don't know, Brooklyn Saints daughter, Melanie Murphy had a very productive Freshman campaign with Stanford. The future looks bright for her.
