Just curious to know what's going on with the past 2 senior classes?

Last Year
1st team Patrice Johnson was suppose to be at Wake Forest but didn't go until the spring and is on the roster this year as a freshman

This year
Carleeda signed with UTEP, I don't know if she is in school down there but she isn't on the roster

Jeniece and Patrice both signed with Kentucky but I read this morning on the kentucky website but of them won't enroll at the school until the spring.

I believe Avery Warley from 2007 signed with Liberty but didn't enroll to 2nd semster either.

I hope this isn't a trend with HDW ball players.

Tia Bell didn't go this route and i doubt if Ronika will go that route.

Time will tell regarding Ms Ransford. Academic preparation is just as important if not more important as athletic preparation.

Student first, athlete second. Get your grades on point. You can be the best razzle-dazzle point guard or a dominant post player dunking, but if you don't have the grades, you will never set foot on the court. Play smart and invest the same amount of effort in the classroom as you invest in the gym.

This was from the front cover story from Joy Hollingsworth,

Well, if these young ladies take this opportunity to take full advantage of this experience academically and athletically, sitting out a semester will be but a footnote to their stories. Good luck to these and all of the young ladies for this and future season.

Grades and preparation are key to having a smooth transition to the next level...... I can speak for Tia, she was both academically prepared and well supported to make her transition as smooth as possible, and give her the ability to maintain as a STUDENT-athlete.
