Great job to all the hoopgurlz staff, you covered an incredible amount of basketball, and kept us homebodies well informed - KUDOS!

I've been in HG mode for the last month, I'm having withdrawal symptoms so just wondering what the next installment will be?

Soundslides from Nike, a tip sheet from Peach State and more tip sheets from Nike.
Then it's time for Best of Summer!
Then revised player rankings and someday we'll catch our collective breath and reload for fall.

Chris, I would also like to thank you and your staff for your great coverage. I had a question for you. As I commented on here before I got to watch Laci Effenberger from Alaska play last year at the State tournament and thought she was pretty talented and I noticed that you mentioned her in one of your reports in Chicago. Does she have enough all around game to be ranked in the top 100 pt.gaurds?I am always curious about all the Alaska kids(hence the name) but since she was the only one you mentioned and Laci knows my daughter pretty well I thought I would ask about her. Thanks

Is she one of the top 100 point guards? or is the question will she make the top 100?

The question is does she have enough talent to be ranked in the 100 pt gaurds when your new rankings come out? I have no idea howw her summer went but I heard that it was pretty solid.

We discourage these kind of questions. They put us -- and your own kid -- in a real difficult position. If we answer you, we now have to answer a thousand other parents. What if we think "no," we won't say that because we don't want to discourage the girls.
Please, you really are amplifying the process unnecessarily. The extreme focus on rankings and ratings really sets up people for fights over comparisons, disappointment, etc.
