The essential truth is not whether she will but is she a true point guard. Hoopgurlz rates the top three guards as Shay Selby, Nickey Speed, Etc. Caroline is ranked as a "G", which I take as meaning she is a "combo guard". With Lorin Dixon, a true point guard coming in, where does that leave Doty?

Doty can play either position and will play either position well. UConn is getting one heck of a player that will do whatever is asked of her.

my bad, I didn't take it as a ratings question but as a very literal question. As in "can doty play the point" so thats why I answered "yes she can play the point", whether she will start or play with dixon and all of that I don't have a clue what Geno is thinking.

Doty will get run, regardless of what position you classify her. She's not a combo guard because she is too small to play the 2 or not quick enough to play the 1. The truth is she can play either. I'd like to see her at the 2 on the receiving end of Dixon's dishes in transition but where ever they decide to utilize her she'll be just fine. She works to hard and has the fundamentals on top of the athleticism to continue to get better and impress at either position.
