How is the Northeast defined ? What states does it include ? This list has a heavy New York slant. Who creates this list ?

Is Smith only a Soph? I thought she was a Junior.

Saints, if you want to add or edit this list, please help yourself. I'm just going on my research. Smith is currently a Sophomore.

As defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, the Northeast region of the United States covers nine states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

I'm just commenting on the list. I don't know all the girls on the Northeast to create my own list.

Is this a list you made up from girls you have seen or are you getting this from another source?

Also are you saying the entire state of Penn has no girls who could crack the lists?

Example: The Philly Belles normally have very strong teams. Are they getting all of the girls from neighboring states ?

Saints, again I don't get out to see every player. I've seen the majority of the players on the last this past summer when I coached at the Big Apple TOC at Fordham. Remember, I'm really concentrating on the Big Apple NYC players. The other players I have seen via DVD and/or word of mouth. That is why you see a large contigent of NYC players. I would have to start another list for players in Pennsylvania.

Watch out for current Freshman Maggie Lucas who plays for the Philly Belles coached by Kevin Lynch. She's going to make noise during her Sophomore year.

Of course, I'm not going to put Elena Delladonne, is ranked by many as the #1 player in the Country in her class. Delladonne would be my #1 ranked player in the NE period. She's also my preseason favorite for player of the year in 2007-2008

But, I'll be perfectly honest with you. The majority of the girls on the list played at a tournament at Fordham or at Blue Star in Philadelphia.

I guess if anything you need to change the heading.

Best players who attended the Big Apple Tournament of Championship.

Otherwise you lose credibility.

Even if I did not know any of the girls I knew something was out of balance. No one from Penn, If you include EDD you would also need Rushdan from Delaware.

New Jersey seems to only be lucky to get one girl in thee years.

I could understand the smaller states New Hampshire, VT being left out

Maine does have Ashley Cimino.

Saints, you might be right about the title. Again, if you want to adjust the list you can. I try to create topics that are debatable. Right now, you are disagreeing with my list. That's great. You are doing exactly what I expected you to do. POST your comments.

My job is to create topics of interest. Hey, I'm not perfect Saints. If you have a title in mind, let me know.

I love Tyler Ashe's (Liverpool H.S.) size being a 6'2" PG. She sees the court very well and is very strong. She's unique, as she can pretty much see over most defenders and she usually posts up the opposing teams guards and is too quick for the forwards. She's a legit D1 prospect.

Alexis Grey is a 6'3" center who average 17 ppg for Notre Dame Prep. She's very strong and Miami was looking at her and liked her a lot. Some say she's as good if not better than Heather Buck. She's no longer attending ND Prep and she's back home in Buffalo. No one knows if she's even playing ball anymore.

Are you including PA and NJ because there are some players you missed. What about any girls on Phila Belles 16's?? Maggie plays on 15's not Kevin Lynch's team.

I thought I answered your question on Tyler Ash earlier in this thread. See below:

I don't have info on Shalani Peddy. Maybe Brooklyn Saints can help you with that player.

Cierra Baker can indeed be added to the list. She played for Winsdor H.S. and the Ct. Shamrock AAU team. Yes, she's one of the best players at her position in the State of Conn.
