Sports fans, is a power forward a center who can operate from the top-of the-key, elbow, and short-corner? A wing who is most comfortable playing back-to-the-basket on that low block? A big girl who can rock and roll all over the court? Or is she a high school center who hasn't started her transition to the wing yet?
We looked at all of these scenarios, sports fans, and these are the baker's dozen we came up with for the top power forwards in this MD/DC/VA region, regardless of class (in alphabetical order):

1. Olivia Applewhite, 5'11", 2009, Eleanor Roosevelt/Greenbelt, Md.;
2. Laura Broomfield, 6'1", 2008, St. Mary's Ryken/St. Mary's, Md. (committed to North Carolina);
3. Asya Bussie, 6'3", 2009, Seton Keough/Baltimore, Md.;
4. Nicole Cunningham, 6'1", 2010, Clarksburg/Clarksburg, Md.;
5. Kandice Green, 6'0", 2008, St. Frances Academy/Baltimore, Md.;

IH check out 2010 Brianna Gibson Wise next year, I'm not sure if she would crack your list but she is much improved up and coming pf at 6'0".
