Congrats to all of those that made it and to all the invitees. Everyone played well and left it on the floor.

when do they play??

It's not been determined. The Americas tournament was postponed during the outbreak of the H1N1 virus in Mexico.

It's unofficially back on in Mexico City with dates yet to be named.

After, they have 25% of the "best" sophomores and juniors in America. I mean, considering "chemistry" and all that.... ;)

Thats OK - they didn't win last year either but still got the higher ranking of all CA teams

They could, though they will play a high caliber of national competition, or they could play like juniors and sophomores. Whatever they do, they're still a talented bunch and have one of the best coaches around.

Totally agree Glenn they do have one of the best coaches around.

That was a tongue-in-cheek comment. If anything, the target on the Monarchs back will be enormous when they face any team with a reasonable chance to compete with them after the rest of the West Coast has been told they have three of the top 12 kids in the land, with only two others from AZ, CA, OR or WA even worth a look. Orange County -- and 75% of those from MDHS -- as the sole source for West Coast kids on the "national" team reminds me of Canada baseball, where all the young national team prospects are encouraged to attend the University of British Columbia to keep 'em working together.
