All this talk has set the stage for a big game tomorrow! won't speculate anything...just waitin':)

I just watched 14 y/o girls beat a HS team, a very good HS team...
I guess it will be said that BMAC was missing players. etc etc, but back to my favorite slogan...it is what it is!

TM I'll agree however B-Mac had to play with the hands they were dealt. None the less turnovers played a key role and the officiating has been questionable all summer but again....it's still a LOSS.

Heard they are trying to schedule a seasonal game btwn B-Mac and RBS. With B-MAC at full strength I believe their guards would have the upper hand over RBS even with the new comers. But the jury is still out on the schedule.

players on the court to make it a game. No one should take any credit away from the LM because B-Mac was missing two players. The youngins got game. They also have poise and character. During one stretch of the game I'd have to say "they were up under B-Mac's skin". All in all it was a terrific game by both teams. When B-Mac cut the lead to one in the second half after being down 12 at the half it became a possession game and that's where the game was lost. Add on a couple of unneccessary fouls to the turnovers and it was a done deal. Franklin made shot after shot and swished (literally) free throw after free throw. Her supporting cast did what they needed to do and she delivered tough bucket after tough bucket down the stretch when they needed a bucket. Face up and kiss it off the glass, turn, elevate, hang and knock it down after the slap, post up the smaller defenders, handle the ball in the backcourt under pressure. I can go on and on, she got it done last night.

I agree your "Highness"...lol....and remember folks - their first meeting when all were accounted for on both teams was just a 1 or 2 point victory by B-Mac.

BMac was frustrated, I think the post players were even having a spat on the court, that was uncharacteristic of them! Even when the refs made phantom calls in a tight game in BMac's favor, LM remained poised collectively. These kids can Bump, & ATAIRA, WHAT CAN I SAY, HL said it all!! I had heard so much about her this winter & never got to see her & this summer I have had the pleasure to get in on whatever everyone else already knew...SHE'S A MONSTER!
ok help me out with the others...I know Vails, is the PG Jasmine if so which one? Who is # 20, braids in her hair looked like she came out the game with a shiner?

Lefty PG is Jazmine "Jaz." Shiner is Jello (don't have a true first name). They also have a 2nd Jasmine who had a huge contribution handling the pressure from BM. The Starting 5.

and a lot of folks like to use B-Mac as a measuring stick and rightfully so but this is still an All-Star team with some All-Star players. Please take note that I mentioned nothing of their age. These young ladies are ball players and they are all from this area for the majority. (Don't start none won't be none) I heard someone mention that there is talk of there being a game between B-Mac and RB. IMO you're talking about a horse of a different color when you put the two high schools against each other. I know RB is getting 4 quality players in and I've taken that into consideration. If and when it does go down, my money goes on the Mustangs. That's my opinion of course but outside of that I'm going to boast of this LM team from the MD/DC/VA area and pray and wish them well at the National tournament this year. Who cares what organization they represent......THEY REPRESENT US!!

Lady Majic 92's defeated HD Woodson 49-40 to take the BM Elite Summer League Championship. Do you think this was an upset? Or did the better coached, better trained and better ballers win?

I think it was a upset, HDW players have been together 2 years or more too. the first half HDW controled the flow. I think Bernisha Pinkett owned the floor in the 1st, the second half the Magic got their confidence and went on a roll. HDW made some mistakes but they still coulda won this game with under a minute to go. so it was a upset. Nobody out played nobody, ALL PLAYERS GOT OFF!! Vails even put some work in on JJ.

Congrats to the Lady Magic ( i like to call them "the 14s"):D Bring us a Championship home from AAUs. WOW, us, in the DC area are so spoiled with all these great teams. I think its great that the young ones can not only compete, but can win!. It shows the level of Coaches and Players in our area.

As for HDW and B-Mac, its hard to be on top, the teams come to play and the refs call everything but you have to keep playing.Next Play! Pick those chins up and lets go ladies!!!

Great game with HD controlling the tempo early from the inside, JJ (I believe is the big 6'5") was pretty much unstoppable in the block all game, even when she was fronted HD (who must practice this a lot because most people have trouble doing it) was able to drop the pass in over the front and from long range. L word majic who I will just call Majic from now on kept the game respectable and rallied for a 3 point halftime deficit. Carleeda "crossover" Green was sharpshooting 3's but not enough attempts. Ransford showed flashes a brilliance and was a monster on the boards. The other girl I guess her name is Bernisha Pinkett oh my gosh where have you been all my life was dazzling with her drives and pull ups. If this game would have been a 4 on 4 matchup (my top for vs yours no fouls no subs) I think HD would have had an easy time. How eva this is basketball and once HD went to their bench the game began to change. Majic were solid through the whole game able to sub and not miss a beat which I feel was the difference, Ataia Franklin demonsrtated some good ballhandling in the open floor and attacked well hit from outside, the line and inside. The PA girl was great also she got distracted arguing "phantom" calls which were legit calls. She seemed to always pop up with the ball were she needed to be and in scoring position. (everyone should have a PA girl) Vails had difficultly with JJ but so did everyone else that tried to stop her or score against her, Johnson was quiet most of the game but came up big in the later half with a tremendous drive and one. McIntosh was solid but also quiet she picked her spots, Ullysia was aggresive on the offensive end hitting short jumpers. This game in my opinion was about the numbers HD became weaker going to their bench and Majic stayed the same through out. Also Majic missing only one ft was a big help

But that was a good assessment of a great game!
Freethrows were definitely a difference maker...making them for LM & missing them for HD!
Bernisha aka B, has always been there ok maybe not always but the last two years if she can find a way to do that often we can make some noise. They practice everything often they are in the gym working out & practicing in the morning & run a camp for youngsters for the rest of the day. Whenever we can put two strong halves together, the Ws will roll in!
Good Job & Congrats to all the young ladies. Now all of us need to go REPRESENT in RALEIGH this weekend!:)

Don't know about an upset. This LM team is awesome & they have played & beat some of the top comp. in the country, regardless of age group.
Wolfie, this is the beginning of a new era for HD & this is the beginning of this rotations second year. I believe I heard LM has been together since they had snotty noses!
