Blue Star Maryland Travel Team

The Blue Star Maryland 16U Travel Team will be hosting open tryouts and informational sessions on April 4, 2009 @ 1:30 pm at:

Trinidad Recreation Center
1310 Childress St NE
Washington, DC 20018

and on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at:

Columbia Union College
715 Maplewood Ave
Takoma Park, Maryland

This team is scheduled to participate in numerous Nike Showcase Tournaments starting with the Boo Williams Nike Invitational and ending with The Blue Star Select National Team Invitational

does it even matter who he has? Having tryouts 2 weeks before your first major tourney is poor planning. It would be better to try and merge with an established group like a Team Beltway Lady Excel or something. The Blue Star naming thing is a good gimmic espedially throwing in the Nike reference and the National Team thing but don't you think that is a little misleading? It's like me naming a team ESPN Hoopgurlz Select Maryland but not havingg any affiliation with ESPN Hoopgurlz.com

one thing is for certain your sources arent the same sources that i have, because the exact opposite about the blue star team, and as far as exodus fielding a team in the dmv i have heard no more than an extremely high profile tournament orchastrated by team unique in colaboration with exodus. by the way are you to announce boos starting five or what?

Exodus will have a team in the DMV, but not in or around the Beltway. And they will not be active during the spring evaluation period

Yeah looks like I was thrown a slick curve ball, by someone who would actually know. Made me want to call Fats directly but it wasnt that big. So first tryout 6 girls, some tried out for FFS in follow mode of Big Fish but it didnt work out. The canning of Surratt seems to have some influence of the current 11 kids that he has. A lot of former Lady Majic/ Old Team Excel flavor with the group. A very little bit or no funding depending on roster according to intel from up north. But hey could be another curve.

I only follow them because I tried to get a kid on their team. I have not seen them play; but, I admit, I am a little surprised they did as well as they did
