This was a hot topic at Bishop Walsh this weekend. The person who told me (a WCAC insider) said he heard it directly from his contact at the school (administrator). Also, there were a few BMAC parents who came up for the championship game and they were talking about it. Also, rumor is that Carroll is in the same boat.

Here is wishing Surratt all the best. Great Coach and nice person. He has done an excellent job with what he had.
Now who would be a good candidate for either job? ;)

I also heard about the Carroll situation this weekend (both boys and girls, BTW). The BMac rumor has been out there for a while, but Carroll caught me by surprise. I thought Coach Agar was building something there. If this is true, best of luck to him. He's a really good person.

Coach Surratt has stepped down as head coach. He has been a true asset to the D-M-V basketball community and will be greatly missed.

As far as the circumstances around his resignation, I would hope that we, the D-M-V community can show some restraint when posting.

Surratt = good Man & good Coach. Seemed to sincerely care about those in his charge and helped a lot of girls & their families during his tenure.

I hate to see anyone lose their job, however, I think a new direction and fresh start can be a good thing for Bmac, if imployed properly.

I heard Carroll promoted within the building. So I'm assuming that 1 of the assistant coaches from this past season are taking over the program.

I have always had great respect for him. He always coaches hard and his team always play hard. He also gave my daughter some great advice when she was about 11 or 12 about playing the game to her strengths. She still remembers and tries to follow that advice.

Word on the street says that a public school coach with a state championship ring or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 has put in his resume for the job

Wasn't she the JV coach and assistant Varsity Coach? I guess the JV team had a heck of a team for her to get the head job. Most be kinda weird losing ur job to your assistant.

The JV team did not do well at all, in fact they lost all but the first game. I heard they too were going in another direction. which direction though?......
