Platinum Memberships Available!

As some of you already have noticed, we have been rolling out our Platinum Membership program.

As promised, Brooklyn Saints became our first-ever Platinum member. He was quickly followed by others who found ways to purchase before we even made anything public. Thanks very much!!

If anyone is having problems going through the purchase process, we inadvertently made things tougher by trying to improve access. Long story short, you may have to log out at both http://hoopgurlz.com and http://secure.hoopgurlz.com.

I can't get to the sign up page for Premium. I get directed to an Access Denied page that list the available articles. I usually use FireFox and did log out, but I'm still listed as viewing the site. I tried IE 6 and got the same resultes. I'm using it now and had to login to post the msg to you.

Try logging out on both the links Glenn posted. FireFox usually works a little better for layout so I'd say stay with that.

Have you clicked on both links and logged about on both sites? We've had several people purchase without any issues so let us know if you've logged out on BOTH of the links above.

I'm still having the same problems and I'm logged in on both site. You should see my name on the list of members on the site and I'm listed twice.

You need to come up with a solution as some members will get frustrated and give up.

If you are getting the "Access Denied" page during the purchase process, you got caught in a small window this morning during which we were experimenting with a new cookie we thought would help your navigation.

To resolve this, you have two options (by the way, we added a Log Out button on the top navigation strip on the front page (and all story pages)):

1.) Delete Your Cookies, or
2.) Log out twice

Here are instructions for both:

Delete Your Cookies
In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu.
Select Internet Options.
Under Browsing History, select Delete.
Click the Delete Cookies tab.

In Firefox, go to Tools menu.
Select Clear Private Data.
Uncheck everything but Cookies.
Click the Clear Private Data Now button.

Log out twice
Go to http://hoopgurlz.com.
Log out.
Go to http://secure.hoopgurlz.com.
Log out.
Now log back into the regular site (http://hoopgurlz.com).
It's very important that you log out of both sites (or sessions, for you tech heads).
