Nearly all the coaching changes are complete and the "replacements" to the big names are as expected either successful associate head coaches or those who have succeeded at a lower level. Kentucky and Florida, national men's basketball powers, weren't able or interested in attracting "big names." I wonder with a smile whether the coach at Marist got any interviews or even inquiries after his NCAA success. So many men's coaches have made the jump based on several unexpected wins.
However. for the first time a recruit has to really consider will this coach be there for four years even next year? And with the exception of Duke/Mich State and possibly LSU all the powers have long term and appreciated coaches.
