Better take hard look at 2010 class in spring as the Nike Skills are having only 2011 and 2012 class with very few 2009 attending. Do you know who on your staff will at Boo?

We understand there will be no 2009s. We think we have a good handle on 2010 already. Mark and Mindi will be at Boo, plus a third person we haven't yet determined.

How are the participants chosen for the Nike Skills Academy? Are they nominated? Is there a board of whose who that select the players?

The skill academies are Mary Thompson's show on the girl's side. I'm sure she gets plenty of input from the Nike-sponsored programs. She's also gracious enough to solicit input from us and others. Anyone has players who should be considered can email us. I have a lot of administrative duties, so Mark or Chris are probably your best bets.

So Glenn you will be at Az. Elite? Should clubs that want you to evaluate a kid should forward the info to you? As far as game schedule, jersey number, etc?
What types of things are you, Mark, Chris, sjducky and staff looking for at the tourneys, established kids, kids not on radar yet?
What's the mindset when the staff sits down to watch a game? Are you specifically looking at a kid someone turned you on to or just watching the game in general to see what jumps out at you?
How many kids can you eval during the course of a game?
Thanks for the input!! It really helps with the information sharing process.

I read below that a lot of the top teams are going to socal - who will be left to see in AZ?

Can we please avoid allowing our team affiliations to prompt us to spread disinformation?
Fact is, no spring event in the West is going to have a preponderance of the so-called "top teams." As we cannot be everywhere, we picked two, the Arizona event having had a history, plus a track record of being organized. We're also not very concerned that we've not seen a large number of the top prospects in the West. Plus ... the spring eval period is only one weekend. We'll see events throughout the spring and summer.

Az. Elite has been great, historically in turnout (clubs and coaches) and organization!!

Udy you were the first to note that there was going to be a tournament in socal at same time as Elite, what was your prompt on that?

My prompt was locking down a spring event and trying to help someone gather info about a new event.

Do you think the other will even happen with AZ elite having all the history?

They are a bunch of events across the country, regional type deals that don't have alot of history. I'll be at the Boo trying to catch up to IH and lboogie! I love the gym setup! You can watch parts of 3-4 great games on any day of action.

My plans this year was to go to the Deep South, but if everybody's going to Boo maybe I will do Boo again. Best bet may be just to wait until a team list comes out, Boo is usually very slow to get out schedules though it may be a last minute decision

So, lboogie will in NC too? Who are some of the top kids expected in NC?

Lboogie actually will be scouting for us at Boo Williams (see thread on staff changes).
