Read somewhere that her scholly was pulled before the season ended but it was never reported. Mad Game, i made my debut on this board with a B-Hop Rant. 36 points a game! Hopefully things fall in place down the road.

The young lady never had an offer from Syracuse. This is coming directly from Coach Q at Syracuse. I don't know if the source can be any more reliable than coming from the horse itself.

I'm assuming she is eligible for D1 ball in the 2007-2008 season. Why no D1 school took a chance on her?

In my opinion D1 calibers players are much more than a player than can put the ball in the hoop which we all know she can do. I've heard a quote before that reads "attitude determines altitude". Enough said!

I seen Hiliard play a lot as a sophmore and many times as a junior jsut never saw her play as a Senior. She was a legit D1 player her sophmore year and I'm assuming she only got better. She can put the ball in the hole but everytime needs a scorer, 1 that starts and 1 that comes off the bench. You cant see her averaging 12-15ppg at somewhere like GMU or Towson. Or 15-18ppg at somewhere like Howard or Morgan State??

HighLevel hit the nail on the head! I think some of us basketball fans are missing the point. Who wants to chance having a cancer spread amongst their team to get 15 or even 30ppg out of someone. Oh I kno, Roosevelts coach and that's why BH wasn't able to get those looks. That coach had her since she was 10 or something (& her parents from birth) at somepoint along the way he/they had to know that she needed to be a full package not just a scorer to get to the next level.
If she in-fact is going to a JuCo she should be ok. Look at D. Liles getting to try out for USA...
YoungCo..she is a good player & now has added some nice passing to her game, but she is still using her left only would you consider that getting better?

I dont know nothing about her personal issues or anything like that and being a cancer. From a talent level though, even if she still is only using her left and can pass and can score. She is D1 legit. Shayalana Johnson from Colliege was out of control on the court but could put the ball and the hope and went D1, Asheley Alexander averaged like 28ppg like 3 years ago but she went d2 (shooting form was crazy in my opinion) I bet if you tell any MEAC team she is available right now they will find a scholrship for her. Just hope she does well in Juco cuz if she dont graduate then she has to go D2 unless if she gonna sit a year. I'm sure the UDC Coach (who is that?) would love to have her. (Oh yeah, UDC needs to be apart of the CIAA and not a independent) .
After reading what you said though its the Roosevelt coach fault he should have told her from the Day Katrina and Shanae left the see would have to be more a well rounded players and she could end up in the ACC or big east.

That Britt is a Legit D1 talent, but maybe not a D1 player. From her own mouth I heard that her coach wasn't really involved in ANY of the team's recruiting processes & if it wasn't for the AD they would have had more trouble finding a school. Even when there were talks of her going to 'Cuse she felt like she should have been getting ACC looks, all she wanted to do is play in the ACC and she was really perplexed as to why she wasn't getting those looks. Her off the court "issues" are exactly what the coaches in those big programs thinks ALL city kids have and is one reason they are so apprehensive when it comes to seriously recruiting our kids. These coaches need to know this & up the stakes for their teams, stop using kids for Ws now & help them for the long run!!

Until you've been in a gym with her and seen her reaction(s) when her buttons get pushed you wouldn't understand. Her abilities are definitely not an issue! It truly doesn't matter how much you love her game and respect her game, you or no one else will ever be able to overlook her attitude because it's honestly "not good". I find myself feeling bad for her sometimes because it's like watching someone pour a good bottle of cognac down the drain. It all starts at the top whether it's home or in the gym.

Enough said! Now let's let this thread fade away into the night or at least the bottom of the page. I wish her luck!
Oh, I totally forgot about the cognac analogy that was hilarious!! LOL

TM...once again you are the voice of reason.
I actually was hesitant to leave this thread open because of the nature of the discussion that involved a player and her personal situation. Let's all hope the BH gets herself together so she can pursue her education and reach her full potential on and off the court. In then end this not about basketball it is about this young lady's future.
