If Vanessa Lamison is coming back to Gwynn Park.....then Vanessa and Brittany Crowell could be very dangerous. What is Vanessa's status.......??

Lamison had knee injury a year ago and either because of that or grades ( i dont know) she sat out this year. I have not heard on her status for the coming Fall.

I would say the Kizer, Pratt, Crawford thing is just that. I don't see Kizer leaving Potomac her senior year, she could have been gone, other schools have been trying to get her to transfer since she was an 8th grader. Yes, her team is not all that great but she loves Potomac HS and everyone there to include students and faculty are very fond of her and her sister.

V. Lamison played for Douglass and graduated in June, she is going to Bloomfield State in N.J. I think you meant L. Lampkins.......

I believe the Arundel crew should serve up some three-piece dinners w/gravy this year, with the inside/outside play of Ewgu/Davis/Randolph..& Vails :)

In my opinion Arudel is the biggest team around, however, will their guards get better?
Will they be able to dominate guards outside of their county? Last year that did not happen.

As far as RB is concerned Franklin is a proven player, I am not sure about the Hawkins. Who is she and how did she do last season. As I remember it the key players last season were Hayes, Franklin, Taylor, Distiny, and Jasmine. Is Jasmine's last name Hawkins?

The best 2some in High School BBall this year could very well be 6'4"Ashley Gayle and 6'3"Danielle Diamant from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. They both return from the last two seasons as back to back state champions. They also have one of the most impressive point guards returning as a sophmore, AAron Ellenberg. As a fershman she lead the Lady Gaels with @26 points in the state final against an Italee Lucas lead Centennial team. The Lady Gaels are sure be a top 25 team again this year and If they stay healthy, top 10.

seems like franklin and the pennsylvania girl that you say will be at riverdale baptise next year would be a better duo.

Etowah High in Woodstock, GA will have one of the top duo threats in basketball....
6' 1" TN verbal Alicia Manning and 6' 4" Lindsey Mason. Been playing together for years and are now seniors. Good shot at the state championship.

You're right but what a difference a year could make.. It's going to be exciting to see..
Guard domination will not be the key... tempo control and taking advantage of their size will be the biggest difference.. but all of the duo pieces will have to bring it nightly..

You are right controlling the tempo is a major factor in Arudel sucess. Without that they will not be able to compete with E. Roosevelt. Another demenison that they must add to their game is the ability to penetrate and dish, hit the open shots consistently, and STOP THE OPPOSING GUARDS. We will see! I would not bet anything on this.....

I hear that Riverdale Baptist are/were at Delaware State team camp. Anyone have any details on how thay are doing/did? Did any of the new girls you guys (spri) been talking about, that are going to RBS attend?

Brookville's Brittany Campbell and Joyous Tharrington are definitely a duo to watch. Both are rising seniors and have played side-by-side since 7th grade. They are great friends off the court and are fun to watch on the court.

Heard the New RBS was beaten by the team from PA that the young lady (Bre Proctor - Lady Magic 92) plays for. No score at the moment.

thanks my mistake I hear that rb did lose to harrisburg hs in ot. riverdale was armed with the following:
ataria franklin
ashley faucette (who is she)
ashley (dont know last name)
tiara hawkins
tianna hawkins
jasmine johnson
gerlo richmond
tiara butler
ronika saunders
destiny williams
amanda moore

harrisburg (pa) hs only had brooke proctor from 92 lady majic and they ran box in one, diamond in two, tried to tripple team her but couldn't stop her with anything that they tried. her father coached and she won tournament mvp, in a 3 or 4 point win. both teams had about 11 games and rb beat them earlier. that's all the information that I had.

Not true....Harrisburg had a good TEAM!!!!They also had a young lady named Stacei Dennis that could've easily been the M.V.P. of the weekend....Ms. Proctor did play extremely well in the playoffs(where the M.V.P. was chosen from), but S. Dennis is big tyme also....look out for this HARRISBURG TEAM...I also hear that they are in the Best of Maryland tournament also.

I heard the final score from the early game between the two was RBS 33 - HB 16, but in the rematch HB got the upper hand with a 27-24 win in O.T. Proctor handling about 19 of HB points and Franklin about 15 of RBS points in the CG. It sounded like it was a really good match up with Proctor working the post and Franklin working the wing. If they end up at school together that's going to be a nice combination.

no disrespect to dennis on the dc/md/va board but if proctor scored 19 out of the 27 points how could dennis have EASILY been the mvp? and why isn't proctor playing with rbs in these events, its their perogative to play where she chooses but if she is truley coming to rbs it would make since in my book.

Theguru
06-25-2007, 02:30 PM
Proctor will not go to Riverdale. My opinion is that she is at a school where she can be more of the focus and a good team versus a good team at Riverdale but she would be an outsider working her way in and would probably have to play 2nd or 3rd fiddle (politics/etc)

pgcop
06-25-2007, 03:21 PM
that makes since, however with the listed kids rbs should be pretty strong

Dennis didn't have a lot of points in the championship game, but they played 9 games prior to the championship and she did work in all the others! S. Dennis and S. Proctor are a formidable duo in their own right! Ask the people @ Del State.

My team just played against them at the Hershey Showcase, and Dennis is a good player. She actually out played Proctor, and I hear that proctor is not going to Riverdale
