Round robin scrimmages with Bmac, Riverbend, E. Roosevelt and H.D. Woodson. H.D., Bmac and Riverbend all looked good, matching uniforms and shoes. Riverbend and Bmac's coaching staff looked good too with the fresh team gear. E. Roose the only P.G. County public school didn't have matching apparel. What's up with that?

How about a review of the games instead of a fashion review of the teams???

dcballer it was pretty much a packed house so everyone saw the games. All of the calls I recieved wanted to know how the teams "looked". However just for you:
Round robin each team played everyone 2 quarters. Each team won some and each team lost some. Bmac looked as if they were the most prepared to start the season as they were clicking without a lot of instructions. Seems that Bmac also has used the fall league to steal one of Flowers plays, all good though. Mychea Bryant did whatever she wanted on the court and did it well.
H.D. Woodson's played effective, the NC State treo were clicking with a smooth inside outside attack. Janice Johnson did whatever she wanted in the post and did it well. Ransford looked a little rusty but still fast as lightning. Attacks with recklessness like a young Allen Iverson and hits the deck just as hard. She bounced up each time, but I would like her to protect that million dollar body a little better, maybe some padded under armour gear for Christmas.
Riverbend played well, depended on plays to get open shots that weren't falling many of the quarters. Their coach seems to be a great motivator that can get a lot from her players, seems like a year and a marque player away from really making some noise.
E. Roosevelt's coach can get water from a rock, as their team didn't miss a beat with their second group in. ER's backups played better than everyone elses backups, the starters played well too. Olivia Applewhite did whatever she wanted and did it well. E. Roose was able to easily defeat everyone for at least a quarter and probabally benefited the most from this work as everyone got to play against quality competition. This will be a most valuable experience come holiday tourney time.
Matchup of the day was Bryant/Ransford, with Bryant getting the edge but Ransford reminding folks that she's still the "Razor" until she was leveled by a vicious elbow to the gut in the final quarter.
Bmac starters had their way with HD's starter/sub combo in the nightcap and HD's starer/sub combo played Bmacs starter/sub combo to a draw for what it's worth.
