You guys are doing a great job of reporting this event, and I want to give my appreciation to you for your efforts. Excellent work.
And Glenn, you must have taken a photography course or something, because your shots at this event have been the best I've seen from you. You did one yesterday that was one of the best sports photos I've ever seen, that loose ball tangle thing where you captured both the competitive nature and happy passion for the game that most of these girls exhibit consistently. Truly exceptional work.
P.S. You should sell that aforementioned photo from yesterday. I'd be sorely tempted to buy it myself.

Here is the story on the front page updated with today's semi-final action. Glenn is on his way home so no new pictures are posted just yet. He's a workaholic so I'd expect some before the weekend's out.

Some team is going to be very happy when they land Samantha Prehalis. I know Ohio State is the leader, but any team would be very fortunate have her.

YCN, thanks much! Some of what you're seeing is Chris and I being at the same event and some of it is better lighting. When I'm by myself, I have to take notes and shoot photos at the same time. At the YDF, we were focusing on getting a lot of photos because I think it's nice to get kids with the USA jersey on.
By the way, anyone can buy prints of any photos that are posted on this site. There is a link at the bottom of the front page.

Glenn,
Is there somewhere we can look at the pictures to decide which ones
we might want to purchase?

We don't consider the photography a separate or even core business of ours. Like newspapers, we take the photos to illustrate our stories. As such, we'll make prints of photos that are posted on our site (here and our former location) and never just display images in hopes of selling them.

YourCrimsonNightmare,
I mentioned that same picture (I think you're referring to the one of Brittany Rayburn and Casey Morris) in the "Best of Friday" thread, but having zero photography skills I thought it might have just been my emotions getting the best of me (I LOVE seeing these kids truly enjoy the game). And as you put it, also one of the best I've seen. Thanks.
