that txbasketball24 has the honor of posting first on the "Texas High School" board. While I'm here, I would like to congratulate the Texas girls on making the top 40 list in the class of 2008. A big "high five" to Glenn & Chris for seeing what I've seen in Nneka for years.
Great site Glenn & Chris.

Currently, NHB is too busy kicking the hornet's nest on Texas Hoops. I'm sure he'll be doing the same here shortly.
Thanks again on the new site!

I've heard stories from fans and coaches about some super 6-6 athlete in the DFW area who is dunking regularly and blocking shots all over the place. The story goes this kid can drop step and dunk even with contact.
Can someone who knows the real deal post her name, high school and if you know her club team.
I've heard her skill set and footwork are still raw but you can't teach height so I assume the Big 12 will lock her down early. I know Baylor was keeping a very close and quiet eye on her.

Glad to know Baylor is on her. Baylor has been strongly considered to a good shot at Pope, Ogwumike, and Sikes. Can anyone tell me if that is still the case?

I believe they have a good shot at all three because of the relationship that all 3 have with Coach Damon the former super coach with DFW elite! He's a great young coach with those all important ties!

I don't think Sykes is interested in baylor however I know Nneka wants to become a doctor and Brook played for Damion and you are correct, he is a great guy. He also hit 9 threes in a game back in his college days.

Who are some under the radar kids that may slip out of the state to a OSU, CU from Texas? Both of those schools play a type of ball pleasing to the kids.

You all may think that it's too early for this group of girls, but what I can say is that these girls are on the right track and if Rickie Winslow & Mike Young can keep them together.. watch out everyone. Here come the DEMOLITION CREW. Phi Slamma Jamma girls version. I am talking about 5th graders competing against 8th grade teams. Houston Angels have 21 girls from 5th-7th grades. Has 2 teams. Select Team 12U and an Elite 7th Grade Base Team. Check it out. They will play this week at the AAU district qualifier at Cyfair. (May 22-26)

Even I don't understand that. So it would be safe to assume you are using an alias since none of the parents or coaches seem to know who Sid Carter is.

Cy Fair teams are good and are well run program. I also wan't you to consider looking at the Houston Angels organization. It's in it's 1st year and already making noises. They currently have 2 teams and are looking to expand next year. Their 12U team won the Gulf AAU District tournament this weekend beating Cy Fair team by 20 pts. Houston Insiders by 40 and Houston Lightning in well played championship winning by 6 pts. Here's the site if you are interested.

You guys did beat us however please note our team is a developmental team with none of our kids playing any AAU type basketball in the past. Also pressing a team the whole game when you have them down like that is not a good thing.

Did not mean it that way. Sorry about that. I really like coach Daniel and I know it's just a matter of time and they'll be a real competitive team.

Just remember the old saying what goes around comes around and I have seen many 12u superteams fall apart when the athleticism catches up.
