They have a solid team and some good players, I think all but 1 or 2 are entering their freshman year so this will be an interesting year in Houston area GBB.

so you are talking about the 2012 team. Because the 2013 team should be in 8th grade this year.

You are exactly right, I thought both teams were the same year and you made a mistake. I saw a glimpse of them in the Cy Fair AAU Tournament but they play alot of Prime Time events which I don't frequent. I know their PG, Victoria, probably needs to be playing up. She is off the chain.

I really wasn't watching the whole time, I think we had got through playing in one gym and I walked to the back gym, primarily to see the guard I had heard about. I know the other Angel team has twin posts that will be in the 9th grade next year, I believe they are around 6'1.

We have all kinds of stuff going on in Houston and everyone doesn't play AAU and that's what we primarily play. The talent is diluted in the city, mainly because some folks want to give parents false impressions about how the kids are progressing. You have Mike Whites group playing mainly in Mike White events, you have the Prime Time stuff going on. You have other folks hosting tournaments every weeekend so the talent is spread out. A few years ago, all the top players in the city were playing against each other ad this is how I measured kids up. Now if a kid scores 30 or 40, you have to look at who they did it against.

I know now that three players left the angels(including Victoria) and moved to another team.

Yeah I heard about that a few weeks ago. It's funny to me to say the least.

Houston GBB as a whole is funny.

This is the main reason I don't recruit or make false promises. The bottom line is if your kid puts in the work and gets the right exposure, if it was meant to be, it will happen.

What's a good individual event this winter/spring, sim? Who are some of the teams in Houston? Angels, Insiders, who else? What's Cassie Peoples looking like so far this season? I saw her out in Fla. and she was nice.

I don't really know of any individual events. It's several really good teams all over the place, Blazers, Shock, Hoopin Angels, Houstonians, Heat, Ft Bend Stars, Tarheels, I can go on and on but it's spread out. You have players everywhere, AAU, Mike White, Prime Time, Heanvenly Kingdom, My Ups, I mean all kind of stuff. When my daughter played AAU, all of the top girls were playing AAU and this helped her. Now it's so spreadout, you never know what to expect. I have seen Cassie twice, she's legit and I can't wait to see her again.
