The IH caught some of the WSFL action over at HoopMagic yesterday. The teams were pretty regular, as the IH suspected--no RBR Top-25 teams in THIS building, sports fans--but a few girls showed out a little bit, for the IH.
Danielle Jackson, 5-4, 2009, Forest Park/Woodbridge, Virginia - as quick and shifty as ever; just chillin', and still put on a bit of a show; the IH would still like to see more of an offensive attack going to her right.
Jessica Escorza, 5-10, 2010, Paul VI/Fairfax, Virginia - real sharp playmaking skills, and a consistent spot-up three-point shot; a lot of movement out of her, on both sides of the ball--and perkiness to go with it.
Shelby Romine, 5-8, 2010, Westfield/Chantilly, Virginia - showed some real nice scoring-point-guard mentals; made the right passes in that motion half-court offense; some real nice defensive anticipation in the passing lanes.
Myisha Goodwin, 5-5, 2010, Thomas Edison/Alexandria, Virginia - the usual quickness and shiftiness--attacked the defense well, especially in-transition (and a smoother trey-ball), and the usual steals on the defensive end.
Jennifer Sims, 5-10, 2012, Thomas Edison/Alexandria, Virginia - athletic, physical, and runs around a lot; a little OOC on offense, but knows what she WANTS to do with the ball; can be a good defender; attacks rebounds.
