I know parents with kids as young as 10 who are out on the circuit, traveling all across AMERICA watching their children dominate and truly believe the kid is going to get a scholarship to play ball. Sometimes it happens, many times it doesn't.

First of all, I have seen many 10-13 year old girls dominate their ages however for whatever reason they pan out. Either they peaked to soon, were pushed too hard and they burned out or were not pushed enough/stopped working all together, nevertheless other kids flew by them and those tens of thousands of dollars are gone, so is the scholarship.

Here's the real deal, there are 325 DIVISION 1 basketball programs that offer 15 WBB scholarships. I will make this as simple as possible, although not 100%accurate, this is in the ballpark. Number of new scholarships available yearly
(3.75 )times number of D1 schools (325) = 1219 scholarships. Mind you there are 1000s of girls playing, hey we have over a thousand playing in Houston alone. Okay, how about D2, that's free also so let's compute that. 279 D2 WBB offer 10 scholarships so that would be new scolarships each year(2.5) times number of D2 schools (279) = 698 scholarships.

I don't have the data for NAIA or JUCO and some D3 schools can work packages but I have shown you in black and white it is less than 2000 for D1 and D2 combined.

Hard work, dedication and intangibles will decide what seperates kids and some of those intangibles are not quitting, not showing attitudes and supporting their teammates. Hopefully this info reaches folks that want to be helped.

Yeah I wish we had more interaction, from Texas especially.
