FINAL THREE — A recruiting source has confirmed that Heather Buck, a 6-foot-4 center from Pawcatuck, has narrowed her final list to UConn, Maryland and Stanford. There is no timetable for her to make a her final decision.
The Huskies have already received oral commitments from Carolina Doty, a 5-11 guard from Doylestown, Pa., and Tiffany Hayes, a 6-foot guard from Winter Haven, Fla.. They are targeting Elena Delle Donne, a 6-5 guard from Wilmington, Del., who is considered to be the top talent in the Class of 2008. They also involved with fellow 2008 recruits Charenee Stephens, a 6-1 forward from Decatur Ga., and Chelsey Lee, a 6-3 forward from Miami.
Stephens, who ranked No. 33 overall and No. 6 at her position by Hoopgurlz.com, is an AAU teammate of freshman Maya Moore. Lee is an AAU teammate of Hayes.
The Huskies have not yet offered a scholarship to either Stephens or Lee.
