Bed Bugs? Bacteria? Cold Viruses? All may be sharing you and your players hotel rooms as you travel to tournaments.
With summer ball about to really kick into high gear and so many of our players,parents,coaches traveling most of July, here is an article from CBS news about how to safeguard yourself from serious bacteria and other unwanteds from hotels...Sleep tight dont let the bed bugs bite!!!

It might be beneficial for the summer teams to put together hotel room disinfectant packs for the players. It can include travel size anti bacterial wipes, lysol spray with instructions to wipe everything down. Nothing like picking up a cold just before the big game.
1. Pack antibacterial wipes and give everything with a handle or switch a wipe down
2. Wear shower shoes
3. Do not walk around the hotel room without shoes or socks
4. If the hotel has a standard bed cover take it off and stash it away...they are never washed and full of germs, body fluids and other creepy crawly things
5. Look for bed bugs, they have made a come back in the United States
6. Bring a can of Lysol for all sufaces and the new Air Borne Bacteria Spray
7. Hot tubs are full of bacteria...do not use
8. Wipe down the remote control free pens with antibacterial wipes
I know this takes some of the fun out of staying in a hotel. But, our players need to be at their best, especially since being on your A game is taking on a whole new meaning in the rankings.
