This is my first time so please :eek: be gentle. Luv the site btw. I noticed a glowing story about Lindy LaRocque on the Stanford site at Scout. She sounds like one of the better players in the country and has four stars but I can't find her in your top 60. Am I missing something? :confused:

I feel LaRocque is a three star player. She is a great shooter. I need to get her player evaluation loaded still but I would say that our evaluation of Lindy and theirs is different. She wasn't a 4 star when we left the network. I don't know if they sent someone out to watch her or just increased her ranking based on high school stats.

She's a nice kid and I hope it works out for her going to Stanford.

This is by no means any reflection on LaRocque ... but we definitely hadn't rated her by the time we left the network. The rating was assigned by a team publisher, which is wrong, wrong, wrong. Furthermore, that publisher almost certainly never saw LaRocque play. I think the whole thing is dishonest. Just because the player is being recruited by the team that publisher covered, she was assigned a high rating. It hearkens back to the days when players became taller or faster after they committed to certain schools. This is exactly what we've been trying to combat.

I thought you guys were now independant and about to rely on us subscribing? I could be wrong, but rather than bash people, good people, maybe you should stay positive and focus on your great work. If you think she's a 3 star, then you do, no need to knock others. Please, not another negative internet site. ;)
