I posted this almost 5 months ago http://forums.hoopgurlz.com/showthread.php?t=1615 and I have had a chance to observe some very, very good basketball players who happen to still be in MS. I talked about 7th and 8th graders who already have jumpers like the guys, no fooling, jumpers like the guys. I witnessed the daughter of former NBA star Emanuel Davis going against BTW-HS and Wichita State great Randy Burns sis going head to head the whole game against each other in a MS district game, both scoring well over 20, both already having jumpers, late last year. Sid Carter talked about two extremely gifted 6th graders, one is playing up a couple of years with us, while the other is playing up for My Stars and is coached by her dad, former JY-HS footbal star Clarence McKinney now the RB coach at U of H. Coach McKinney has a VERY talented group of young ladies which include Burns and former JY-HS all everything, U of H Phi Slamma Jamma alum, Michael Youngs daughter. I watched those kids battle against older girls all weekend and they really caught my eye. Speaking of former JY/U of H, PSJ alums, Ricky Winslows Houston Angels are loaded with numerous weapons inside and outside including Rickys baby who is a very versatile player that can hurt you a number of ways. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get all of their names but these teams have many young ladies that can go. I have talked about kids from HTX, FBS, Hotshots, Cy Fair Shock, Katy Hoopstars and other teams so IMHO the future of Houston GBB is in very good shape, inside and out. There are many other younger teams and players I have heard about however I haven't had a chance to see them, but as soon as I get a peek, the info will be posted.

It probably would be better if I had a pad and pen because I always seem to forget some info. There are some other 8th graders that will have a chance to glow as incoming freshmen in HS next year, one is our own Courtney Moore who will be attending Aldine Eisenhower next year. The kid is raw, very raw, but her upside is immeasurable and here are some reasons why. Her mom is almost 6', played D1 volleyball, while her dad is 6'2, also a D1 athlete that just happened to play MBB and can still dunk with ease. Her sister, Clarissa Moore, is an all everything junior that is being recruited by major universities from the B-12, SEC and a host of others. The kid can play 2,3,4 and 5, probably could play 1 if she had to and I see little sis wanting to be better than big sis.

Two other 8th graders I also forgot about happen to play for the same MS and will be attending the same HS, N Shore, next year. One of them, PG Mo Mo Bedford, plays AAU for Texas Flight and is one of the most athletic/acrobatic 8th graders I have seen. She will have the luxury of learning from Lauren Flores who happens to be one of the top PGs in the country. The other kid, Courtney, plays for Houston Elite and may be the best 2012 player I have seen so far. Almost 6', she can do it all and is truly a joy to watch. Again, I am missing some kids but I will keep you posted.
