Coach Chez Williams and staff took their New Heights 13's this past weekend and won the Championship in the Connecticut Shamrocks Super Regional.

Here are that results:

Saturday, April 5th
Pool Play
NH 55 Long Island Lightning 30
NH 50 CT Heat 25
NH 60 CT Wave 63

Sunday, April 6th
Semi-Final
NH 66 Cape Cod Waves 42

Championship
NH 66 CT Wave 53

The noteable players this past weekend were as follows:

Raven Price 5'10" F/C (younger sister of Connecticut star A.J. Price). She had a phenominal weekend, including 14 point - 22 rebound effort in the finals. She was a total beast on the boards grabbing at least 12 rebounds per game.

Melanie Lockett 5'8" combo guard. Has a great feel for the game and is a prolific scorer and has great court vision.

Kim Hanlon 5'6" PG. Did an excellent job managing the game and running team. Great decision maker and a natural leader.

Carey Berry 5'9" F. Shot very well from the field and a proven force on the boards.

Ashanti Kennedy 5'9" F. Tenacious shot blocker and a horse on the boards.

Sadie King 5'5" PG. Able to get to the basket at will. She reminds me of a younger version of Tenn PG Shannon Bobbitt. Can break any press.

This team of 12's and 13's looked like Sophomores on the court. They showed poise and they played above their age. This is a team that people need to watch out for in the future. They are going to make some noise in NYC and the Country.

i play for the ct spirit, and we played this team 3 times this past season. twice in the adidas showcase tournament in hamden,ct and once in the ri breakers tournament in rhode island. they have some really good players on their team, and a very good coach. our team beat them 2 out of 3 times, but not w/o a fight from new heights.
