Aside from the day when the women's game had to play with six players and a team that stayed on defense and one that stayed on offense. Before Title IX. When all things were not equal...the men's game and the women's game were, well, different.
30 years later and all but a small difference in the size of the ball and "Lady" team name all things have been pretty much the same. I like the fact that the mens game and the womens game are the same. I have enjoyed watching the womens game evolve to a competition that is enjoyed by millions in the nation as the female game of basketball has evolved.
I am somewhat disappointed there has bee a step backward made with the men and women's game over the three point line.
So the court is going to have two three point lines now. One for the women and one for the men. Is this a good thing for the game? Could this be the beginning of more changes that set the men and womens game apart once again? Or is this an overly dramatic writing that is an attempt to keep from cleaning the grill for the Memorial Day cookout?
