Who do you good people feel displays the necessary skills at the four position to get some much needed publicity? My criteria for a power forward would be in this order.
1. Excellent rebounder
2. Demonstrates the ability to defend wing and post players (3-5)
3. Has a mid-range game (can shoot from the elbows, short corner etc.)
4. Can handle the basketball under pressure
5. Must be able to inbound the baketball

Who fits this discription?

How about Kiana Bryant from Flowers she rebounds well can shoot the mid range, passes well from the high post, runs the floor, and can score from down low. She is 6"0 tall.

Tianna Hawkins is my choice can guard 3,4 and 5 has the Mid range and can shoot the
3 ball , not that strong has a rebounder but creates problem for big girl because she
shoots and handle the ball well soon to be at Riverdale Baptise

I recently saw the kid Applewhite from E.Roosevelt play. She's about 6' and has a great post frame. She battled on the boards and has really good quick feet. She hit a couple of long jumpers one of which I believe was a three and when she got the ball in the open court she was quite competent bringing the ball down the floor. What I liked most was she was very active on D. She got her hands on a lot of passes and was capable of playing D on the perimeter. ER is going to be really tough to beat in 4A next year. Even after 3 titles this may be their best team.

Brianna Gibson can be described by the entire list. She is quick enough to guard a 2,3,4,5. Strong inside runs the floor very well strong on the boards and can shoot the mid range at 6'0 she will be someone to reckon with when she graduates in 2010,

It is not all her fault...she is playing out of position on her spring/summer team..she needs to develop in to a wing player since she is about 5'11'. And since you know her coach you may want to mention that to him.

Yes, your right she is playing out of position but parents should some times think everything is not about loyalty if she not getting put in a situation to get her self to the next level. Sometimes its not who you play with but the teams you play, you dont get nothing out of playing the same teams in the area . But that enough of that we would go on for days , If I had a kid and the team that she was on wasnt a competitive team then I
wouldnt have a problem with her playing some where else if it was to the benefit of the kid some coaches dont understand that some hold them hostage

I coach in the 4a,,,,,she's a beast and yes she does need to work on ballhandling and shooting at 5"11,,,to go to the next level I'm SURE COACH HARISTON knows this, but somtimes you have to play your likds where they will help you win. Now Brooke is a handful to check inside and outside.

I really like Applewhite and she can play Power Forward at the college level if she selects a mid major conference to play in ex. A-10,Colonial,MEAC, NEC
I hope she'll select based on offensive philosophy and need.

Porshia Davis plays for Richard Montgomery - A great player stuck on a bad team

Not cutting her down, so dont get it wrong people...... but on her team at school they have zero talent.....zero. If you can moderately play you will have good numbers. She is not a bum, but lets break down her skills. She is overweight, doesnt jump, can not dribble and is slow. She does finish around the basket against smaller people, but Elite level? No way, She is a classic example of big for her size when young....now everybody else has caught up to her and she hasnt developed past her past self.

What AAU team is she currently on? I have not seen her this Summer

You are right. They have no talent. They do not have any guards who can get her the ball in scoring position, they do not have another offensive threat to take any heat off of her. When I saw her play this year (3 times), she was double and triple teamed right off the bat. Put her on Good Counsel or even Visitation, and she would easily make the list. I have not seen her this summer either, although I heard that she had some issues with her knee.
