Having read and watched recruiting from the time that the only info was on one page in one annual basketball magazine, from the announcement that ESPN would carry the NCAA final games to now where talent is ever expanding and HoopGurlz is striking out with this site. Now my questions are if the bar was say 2004 not 2007 how many seniors +/- are there would be on your list who currently are not?

The second question is given the growth of "traveling teams" and talent assessment like yours can you realistically state that no player who would qualify for a three-star and up would be overlooked? (excluding late bloomers who come of age in their senior year)

I'm not certain that I completely understand both questions, but I'll take a shot. Depth of rankings and ratings is, to a large extent, dependent on how long the rating organization has been in existence. That's because instead of focusing solely on the class that is "live" (being recruited for 2008 LOIs), we can scout ahead and build up a cache of players.

We are - and have been - very upfront about not guaranteeing numbers. Our philosophy of seeing all kids we rate will limit the numbers. Over time, and as we grow as an organization, the number of "starred" players also will grow.
