Since the Cy Fair Texans are cornering the market in Houston with mainly a developmental league with some good players mixed in, I have had several calls from smart parents who are jumping ship. Me, being the inquisitive one asked why and besides being forced to sign CONTRACTS, many are concerned about 12 or more kids being on a roster and paying over $1000 per season. I looked for some pros and but I mainly found CONS but you have to realize the kids don't have to worry about getting tired because with 12 or more kids on the team, they will be able to get PLENTY rest.

Let me EQUATE that for you, don't need fingers, toes nor calculators because if i'm good at anything, it's numbers. 32 minutes per game times 5 players equals 160 PLAYING TIME MINUTES. Let's say 14 kids are on a TEAM and if its done right and split equally, which it won't, your kid will get a tad over 11 minutes per game. Since you will be playing under Whites new format I bet you will have a running clock, in order to get more games in allotted time, renting a gym does cost money folks. Okay 11 minutes times 4 games = 44 minutes per tournament, hopefully it isn't 3 games but who knows, again gym space is not free. If you play in 10 of White's Tournaments, that's 440 minutes so that comes out to you paying a bit over $2 per minute to watch your kid play based on 4 games per tournament. TWO DOLLARS PER MINUTE, are you listening? now if it's 3 games, your coast per minutes is a little over $3

Look at the rosters for his teams, do the damn math. I don't like calling people names I don't know and I know their presentation sounds great but I am breaking it down for you. Now some of the kids will play more which means some will play less and if a kid plays 5 minutes per game, you my friends are paying FIVE DOLLARS per MINUTE and again, this is based on the 4 games per tournament times 10 tournaments. Folks, don't be taken by these folks who are selling pipe dreams. I don't care if you like me, i'm not recruiting your kids, I just hate to see folks get screwed by unsavory characters. Pass the word please, don't hold back. If you don't want to say anything to your fellow man, give them the link to my blog.

Parents could do themselves a big favor if they would be more investigative like you are being and not just join a team based on that teams name. Colleges do not recruit teams but they recruit players. So join the team that fits you best and investigate every possiblity and find the one that fits you the best. And this format above does not seem like the best fit for any kid.
