Most of the times the Nike and Adidas Teams do not get a chance to play each other. In the West Coast Tournament there were a couple of games with Nike vs Adidas Teams.
The Cal Sparks (Adidas) went 4-1 at the Deep South Classic in April. They posted impressive victories over Tenn Team Pride and the Roanoke Stars.
The Cal Sparks had a chance to take on two of the better Nike teams in BWSL and West Coast Elite.
The Cal Sparks were defeated by BWSL 49-31
The Cal Sparks were defeated by West Coast 65 - 12
I would of liked to see FBC in the West Coast Tournament but from my understanding they were not able to make that happen. It looks like FBC might be the top Adidas Teams out there but we will never get the chance to see them play any of the Nike Teams.
Side Note: Cal Sparks were defeated by FBC 49-37 in the Deep South (Second Round)

F2K,
This will be the focus of my Nike Midwest Showdown preview this evening. Stay tuned. There are only a few of the top flight sponsored programs not in the tourney. Boo Williams has obligations with his boys program, Cy-Fair could not make the trip and FBC couldn't because of a coach's kid graduating from college. I would have liked to see Full Package in it as well.
We tried our hardest to pursuade those to come to this event so the kids can have the opportunity to compete with each other as the summer their sponsorship contracts eliminate the possibility of these matchups.
There are quite a few from both sides and plenty of independent teams for this weekend.

Interesting comparisons...if we followed that logic based upon the scores of separate play of West Coasts score against Cal Sparks and BWSL's score against Cal Sparks it would appear that West Coast Elite was the better of the Nike teams between BWSL and West Coast Elite...

But BWSL beat West Coast in a great game so the logic is broken.

Exactly...
Although comparing scores seems like a perfect way to best compare teams it does not always prove to hold water...
Going on the basis described above and the scores of Cal Sparks against West Coast Elite, one would have deduced that West Coast Elite would slaughter BSWL as the BSWL did not beat Cal Sparks by nearly the margin that WCE did...But, as we clearly saw that is not the case. So looking at the margin of victory that FBC beat Cal Sparks in the second round of the Deep South may not paint the real picture of the type of matchup one could expect between FBC and other top Nike Teams.
Who were the top four teams at the Deep South this year?

1)FBC
2)Cincinnatis Finest
3)Team Breakdown
4)Minnesota Stars
5)Cal Sparks
6)Team Pride
Until someone knocks them off, I would have to say that FBC is the top Adidas team out there right now. They have won the Deep South two years in a row!

I wonder what happened with Team pride and Glory Johnson and 2009 Kamiko Williams to end up in 6th?
So at this point there are four other teams that beat out Cal Sparks in the Deep South leaving those squads as potential competition for the top Nike Teams(BSWL and WCE anyway).

Exodus and Blue Chip are top Adidas teams. Tennessee Team Pride with Glory Johnson and full roster finished 7th in the TN AAU State Tournament a couple weeks ago. Flight didn't even play there top team in the AAU State and put there second team in the event and finished 2nd place in the tournament 5 spots ahead of Pride so surely Adidas has a better team to offer. (EDITED BY ADMIN: VIOLATION OF RULE FORBIDDING CRITICISM OF PLAYERS). Blue Chip is a very good team that is sponsored by Adidas and finished 2nd at Deep South and Exodus is very talented and dind't have a good showing at Deep South but it will intresting to see them play againist Flight top team this weekend in Ohio.

First of all, wbbjunkie, you violated the Golden Rule of these forums (thou shalt not criticize TEENAGED players!!!), so you deserve this. Secondly, who is "pumping" anyone? What are you talking about? To say any player "showed me nothing" is a gross violation of our rules and a ridiculous thing to say about a kid. Period. Argue this point and you are banned.
F2N is correct about FBC being the best adidas team out there. It isn't even close. However, your order of finish is a little off as Blue Chip from Kentucky finished No. 2.
Tennessee Team Pride is just Glory Johnson and Kamiko Williams, while Tennessee Flight Silver may not have a player the caliber of Glory Johnson, but have 6-10 players the caliber of Kamiko Williams.

Glenn,
I was not badmouthing a player on the site just saying she didn't show anything two weeks ago. Again as I stated above it was the first time for me to watch her but I just asked the head of the program I am with about her and he said he watched her in a state high school playoffs and she has game so she must not played well two weeks ago!
Blue Chip did finish 2nd at Deep South getting beat by FBC in the finals so my point was that I can't see how you can leave Blue Chip out of top 5 Adidas teams since they did make the finals. Glory Johnson is great but one player doesn't make a team great so my point was to say that Pride is a nice team but just cause they have Glory Johnson doesn't say they should be in the elite teams in the country. A team i saw earlier in the month was Arkansas Mav's and the Stricklin kid they have is GREAT and there team is good! Don't know if anyone has seen her but she is great and they are not Nike or Adidas.

WB,
I put out the list, it wasn't Glenn. I may be reading the brackets wrong off of the DeepSouth Website. Not a big deal, just trying to get a little comparison going with some teams that don't get a chance to play each other.

I havent seen Team Pride this year and didnt catch the post before edited that you made, but, end of summer last year I watched Team Pride perform very well including Kamiko Williams which in that weekend of tourneys was their top performer.
They also had a sweet point guard that I thought played on Glory Johnson's high school squad.
When you are dealing with elite teams it is very possible that anything is possible regarding those who end up on top.

Classic case of how you get banned from these forums: Badmouth a player, then claim that you didn't. Goodbye! I ought to out your program and embarrass them as well, except I know your director told you to shut up. You should have heeded his advice!

Congrats, HoopGurlz.com! Your first true FLAMETHROWER on the new website! The IH and f2n already had our first little-boy argument here; so now, this website has been truly christened!!
By the way, sports fans, the IH thinks that July is when you can tell what teams are really all-that, and those that aren't.
1. EVERY TEAM'S a little worn down, from all the spring/summer running around.
2. Every girl is trying to be completely on top of her game, because IT'S JULY!
3. The college coaches are at their stalking sharpest, because IT'S JULY!
4. The scouts and pundits are at their most eagle-eyed, because they're getting everything set for their fall books, and for All-American this-and-that, and for school-season stuff.
5. Every team of consequece is at full-strength. No proms, exams, papers, vacations, and the like. It's like the NBA playoffs--the SECOND SEASON.
