I see alot of basketball in the Houston area and I was troubled by low attendance at the games. It's sad when you have the #1 player in one tournament, Bone and the #2 player Griner along with USA Todays top 10 team Bellaire playing in championship games with less than 100 folks. I posed the question on texashoops and I got all types of responses, even one guy saying that Swoopes coming out was the reason. It was really amazing to go out to the burbs and see College Park hosting Conroe before close to 1000 people, that's what it's all about. Anyway, Chris posted this link on another site and it gave another take.

It's truly sad that you can go to a MS 7th grade C-TEAM GAME and see more folks than you would at a VARSITY 5A game.
