Meadowdale 58 vs. Jackson 67 at Meadowdale High School
I have watched Meadowdale for many years. I would never believe that a team in conference could do what Jackson did tonight. After a fairly equal first half, Meadowdale went cold. Then the defense took some time off. Jackson played nice steady hoops and scored and scored. Once up by 18, Meadowdale got it to four and Jackson's Feeny hit a three. It ended and Meadowdale had lost to a team in its own league twice in one year. Someone will have to go back and look when the last time it happened. It is the first time in AAA or AAAA that they aren't the Division Champs in my history watching them. The refs to their credit, let them play. Great game to watch.

"to their credit"....forgot to ref!! Missed a huge over and back call near end of fourth Not that it would have changed the outcome.

I was looking at the whole game reffing outlook. Missed calls in a good refed game usualy balance out. Plus the two teams were allowed to be physical. Which doesn't always exist. There were a lot of girls hitting the floor and no whistle. As far as the research for when it happened, I don't have a research base available to me. It would take a Meadowdale long time devout follower to remember it.
Also , Kristin O'neil attended the game. She still looks young enough to pass as a senior (joke). I thought she was playing pro ball in Europe.

I think that year the team had their worst record with no league or division championships but won 3A State....so their losses must have been there, not sure if any one school beat them both times..have to ask Kristin or Yvette or Jane,
If they make it this year I think it will be at least 10 or more consecutive trips to STATE incl both 3A and 4A levels. That has to be some kind of history making record too!!

Over and back call was not huge, the game was over. If they forgot to ref, then explain 10-2 team fouls in the fourth quarter. Shooting 6-30 in the middle quarters didn't help either.

like I said "not that it would have changed the outcome"! and 10-2, what does that indicate other than unbalanced calls, because both teams were physical; the scoring lapse, defensive errors & clock management during the last posession are what lost the game for meadowdale.

Sam's 3 blocks, Kingma's 10 assists and 32 beans, Bruns taking charges, Feeney hitting two 3's, a 49-37 lead after 3, 57-41 in the 4th .. that's not the refs .. that's Jackson. Clock management during the last possession? no such thing as a 9-point play mj.
