A little info on 4 of the girls on that list many might not have heard of
#1- Pohlman. Lefty with a nice up and under move when posts up in the low block. Would probably be a wing at most big schools, but 5-11 puts her the post at Bear Creek. Gets 75% of her points on put backs. Sadly, she's all by herself this year on that team and has to carry all the load. She went for 25+ against us. Has signed to play softball for the U of Washington.
#5- Woods. Has range for a young'in. Picking up where her older sister left off. Older sis won a state title with Roosevelt her frosh year (the year featured in "the heart of the game" in which she appears a few times in the movie). Look for a bright future from this talented underclassman.
#8- Brandon. Tall, athletic guard. This girl can flat out ball. One of those ballers you get so caught up in watching create, that you forget about the game as a whole. Really lacks the long ball but can shoot from anywhere else on the floor.
#15- Spence. 6ft post who has come a long way since I first saw her as a frosh. Game has progressed very nicely. Creates a lot of problems for the sea-tac league. Only has a PG behind her, but will still do ok.

These are from the News Tribune (Tacoma, Pierce County, Olympia-ish, 2A Evergreen Conference)...
From Thursday, though, so they don't include Grad's 33 points or Samms' 39 from Friday. (FWIW, The Times' numbers on AR's Grad/Wetmore are wrong, because they don't have two of the TOC games in there.) A new list will be up Thursday on the Trib's prep blog.
Area scoring leaders (Average, games played)
1. Sarah Halasz, Lakes (21.5, 10)
2. Katie Grad, Auburn Riverside (19.9, 11)
3. Tabitha Tomlinson, Puyallup (17.9, 12)
4. Lindsey Moore, Kentwood (17.4, 12)
5. Shaunice Samms, Mount Tahoma (17.3, 12)
6. Nneka Payne, Auburn (16.4, 11)
7. Keisha McDonald, River Ridge (16.3, 9)
8. Sophie Russell, River Ridge (16.0, 9)
9. Courtney Blume, River Ridge (15.8, 9)
10. Morgan Schwegler, Tumwater (15.0, 8)
11. Talia Walton, Federal Way (14.6, 10)
12. Briana Shannon, Kent-Meridian (14.3, 13)
13. Mercedes Wetmore, Auburn Riverside (14.2, 11)
14. Kirsten Fausko, Auburn Mountainview (14.1, 10)
15. Brittany Barrington, Federal Way (13.9, 13)
