Does anyone have or know where to find the schedule for the "AR" Tourney that starts Friday. All I can find is TBA for start times.

One note about the AR tourney: there are two divisions (I know that seems ridiculous with only eight teams). The reason is because some of the teams (namely Mount Tahoma and AR) couldn't play more than two games in the tournament due to Washington's scheduling limits.

So the "white division" includes Mount Tahoma, Lake Stevens, the Jesuit-Buena winner and the Moses Lake-Sheldon loser.

The "navy division" is Auburn Riverside, Snohomish, the Jesuit-Buena loser and the Moses Lake-Sheldon winner.

I think they tried to split them pretty evenly. But personally, I would have liked to see a Mount Tahoma-Auburn Riverside showdown.

True on the MT-AR game, but Moses is ranked 3rd I believe in the 4A polls, so that matchup vs A-R could be just as good. ML has got at least one pretty darn good post from what I've been told.

I think MT would have been a better matchup, although I admit I don't know much about Moses Lake. With MT, I know speed is one of their big factors and, after seeing Riverside in the TOC, they can't compete with speed (at least not with an entire team of speed. They can wear one or two girls out, but not 10). Even as short at they are (just two at 5-11), AR can take big girls out of a game.

But we'll see. I'm looking forward to seeing more PNW teams from outside of my South Sound bubble and the state.

South Sound eh? I hear River Ridge is putting on a tournament at St. Martins College...I had the schedule and then I lost it.

Jesuit of Oregon came from way down in the 3rd quarter to win by one, 54-53, over Buena of California. Sheldon of Oregon battled back and forth with Moses Lake of Washington in another close game with Sheldon winning by three, 50-47.

That sets the brackets for Friday's match-ups at Auburn Riverside HS:

Mt. Tahoma vs. Jesuit at 2:00pm
Moses Lake vs. Lake Stevens at 3:45pm
Sheldon vs. Snohomish at 5:45pm
Buena vs. Riverside at 7:30pm

Plus a couple of games featuring some pretty good JV squads:

Mt. Tahoma vs. Snohomish at 2:45pm
Lake Stevens vs. Riverside at 4:30pm

www.riversidebasketball.com has some write-ups for more information about some of the games. The Seattle Times and possibly the P-I were in attendance Friday, so read more about it there, too. The Times and the News Tribune will both be there Saturday.
