The board is all slow! In almost two months, I think we have one page of topics, which means we haven't reached 20 topics yet!! I know it's spring and things are a little slower these days, but gosh! Maybe it's all the relocation and now people are over it, or maybe PG folks got tired of pleading their kids' case...OK low-blow just tryna get some action!
I haven't been able to venture out in the GBB world lately, as I am flooded with paperwork, prom dresses & more paperwork, so I haven't had my ear that close to the streets. If I was an outsider, I'd think DMV aint got much goin on...is that the case?
LBoog-moderator ma'am- give us some interesting topics pleeaase!???:)

There is alot going on behind the scenes and we are all busy with Proms, Graduations and all that craziness. I have been doing fashion po-po duty..so all my lil darlings that are in need of fashion advice or a pair of size 10 dress shoes have been getting my attention(and raiding my closet).
As we all know this is a joyful time of the year for many, we all are proud of the seniors that were able to sign with the school of their choice and the juniors that are getting early offers and are getting phone calls from the school of their dreams. But on the other side this can also be a very trying time for seniors who are realizing that even though they have a scholarship offer, they are not going to qualify academically or they have accepted on offer from a school that was not their 1st, 2nd,3rd or even 4th choice. Many juniors are getting a reality check when NC, Duke, MD, UT, Rutgers....are not blowing up their phone with hourly text messages.
So alot of what is going on now is not really message board material, there is alot of background work going so hopefully there will be good news to post in the future.

...if you all wanna talk that CUTIE-CUTE stuff, take it over to myspace or facebook, and do what you all do! This board is for serious ballers, not for all of that little-girl cute stuff, sports fans...

I actually think that it would be an appropriate place for the topic. Folks are quick to talk crap because our girl ballers are not dressing like girls, but you try finding a womens shoe for a girl that wears size twelve in mens...

thank you Young-nothing makes me happier than to see a young lady who balls her heart out on the court look like a GIRL off the court and if she needs a place to find shoes to fit her big feet this should be the forum to do so

Then they should wear their flip-flops/slides--with ankle braces, of course--to the Club...

I've really enjoyed this exchange, and quite honestly, as a father of two middle-sized (five-ten; six-one) sons, I'd given very little thought to this, the "fashion" side of sports.
On that subject, did any of you happen to see the sportsillustrated.com article by Jacob E. Osterhout?: "My not so secret crush - I love Candace Parker ... and I'll fight to the death for her" The accompanying picture (of Durant and Parker) is adorable: Here's this Gorgeous Lady Vol, in a beautiful black dress, and the most-awesome shoes - - - I would have Never considered that she was wearing what, size twelve, size thirteen? Great job, Moms!
Here's the link to the article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/sioncampus/05/10/candace.parker.crush/index.html

This article is quite amusing...I am glad that a female athelte can still be a female athlete! I like that if you are a baller your sexual orientation should not matter on the court. But once your tennis shoes and jerseys are off you can be a lady. That's great...keep being a positive role model to our youth CP3 ;)

The board is jumping a little more, peeps are starting to come around. I wonder how many folks changed their screen names and didn't tell us hmmm....
Anyway spring fever is approaching quickly we should be plenty busy then.
Oh and we were lucky enough to have her fit into an 11 and Nine West was the spot! :) AND SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL!

I didn't know you had a Sr.!!??
But anyway- Yes she did surprise herself when I held the mirror UP for her to see the finished product!
If the send off committee had it their way she would be on her way to a runway in Paris instead of Raleigh in July!
Like I told State's coaches the bitter sweet thing is that with every end of the year event she is closer to leaving us & being theirs!:(
MAKE THESE MOMENTS TO REMEMBER
PS- And she didn't even take a SIP! Ladies don't be tempted its not that serious!
