I'll take Redmond over Ballard. Hopefully they can get Martin the ball in a spot where she isn't getting swarmed on by the defense.

Halftime
Redmond 30
Ballard 25
Redmond
#11- 4 pts
Martin- 7
#30- 2
#35- 2
Ballard
#4- 2 pts

Ballard wins a tight one 59-57 on a step back 3 by their PG #5 with 2 seconds left. I believe she finished with 21 points. Ballard was unconcious from 3 in the 2nd half and its what kept them in the game and eventually won it for them.
Redmond got a 3 off at the buzzer but it fell a few feet short.

Me thoughts on the game tonight:
Ballard's PG had a great game and caught fire at the exact time that they needed her to. They ran the sets to her when they needed points and she got them.
Both teams played hard baseline to baseline. Jones and Martin did their thing for the Stangs. Petrie (sp?) missed 2 or 3 FT's that would have been key late in the 4th and a easy lay in late in the 4th as well. The refs let the girls play a lot and it made for a good game.
Redmons seems to be gelling well early on in the season. Jones has got a nice shot and Martin is a beast when she wants to be who works hard and played good D tonight on the big from Ballard. Both are capable or taking over at anytime should their coach let them. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see them at state if they can keep up the good work.
Ballard got an odd mixture imo, but it works. They are all scrappy and play hard and run the floor and push the ball. As stated, they seem to be led by the PG. They have the capabilities of pulling off a big win or two should they catch a team sleeping. They are excellent FT shooters, everyone who went to the line made darn near every FT. Tonight the shots went there way when they neded to and it got them the W.

The Redmond Mustangs were involved in another tight game tonight. It was youth verses experience as Redmond started 2 sophomores, 2 juniors, with only one of those with significant varsity playing time last year, and 1 senior. Redmond sprinted out to an early 8-0 lead. The scrappy, experienced Ballard, who started 4 seniors, fought back to make it a game at halftime 30-25. In the second half it was a very physical game with both teams pushing the ball hard up and down the floor. Redmond would open up a lead only to see Ballard bomb three pointers to catch back up. The young spirited Redmond team had too many turnovers in the second half, keeping Ballard in the game with several unforced errors. Ballard was led by Senior PG Kayla Williams who hit several big-time three pointers down the stretch including the game winner, with 2 seconds on the clock. It was Ballard’s only lead of the night. Ballard is now 5-0, with a 3-0 record in league play. Redmond falls to 2-2 overall, 1-2 in league play.
Williams led all scorers with 21 and Evangeline Spracklin added 10 for Ballard. The Mustangs were led by super sophomore Chandler Jones with 16 points. Junior Courtney Martin chipped in 14.
This Redmond squad shows real promise this season. As the Coach Dennis Edwards settles in on a rotation and the younger players gain experience I think Redmond will be a real handful down the stretch.

Jackson beat Meadowdale tonight as well!
Nobody could make foul shots, why Meadowdale didn't foul with time on the closk I don't know. It was either Jackson won or overtime. Brun made the three to keep them in it and Jones answered, then the layup with 1.2 seconds left. Foul and make them beat me from the line. If they make one of two, I have a chance to win with 20 seconds left. That way I control what my team does rather than hope she misses.

They played Meadowdale Tuesday night at Meadowdale. He got beat up, disrespected by the crowd. The lad is a freshman and he can shoot. Meadowdale will wish in the future that they had treated him like another player. I will remind them whe he lights them up for 48.

Ok, I have a you tube account. I went and watched it and saved it. The lad only hit rim on one foul shot. Must have been tired. He was busting threes from well behind the NBA line. (nothing but net) I will report on the game agaimst Mariner. His Mom said Romar saw him last year hit 42 in an AAU game. They play Mariner tonight. Mariner is supposed to be ok.

I know that if your agreeing with me I must be right ;) And I believe that game he went for 42 on was against one of the best AAU teams either, it wasn't just some dump team, but I could be wrong

I went to the game. The lad may as well stayed home. He hit his first three in the fourth quarter. He ended up with 11 and 8 had to be in the 4th qtr. He had a bad shooting night.

The Redmond Mustangs played inconsistently in the defeat of league rivals Woodinville. After leading by 15 points early, Redmond failed to put away Woodinville, allowing them to get within 7 at half and pull within 3 points near the end of the third quarter. The big story, no pun intended, was 6-3 sophomore post Marissa Pratt. She took over the game down the stretch, blocking 6 of her career high 9 blocked shots in the fourth quarter sparking a 15-0 run. Pratt also led the Mustangs with 14 rebounds while scoring 7 points. Sr. Mary Petrie led all scorers with 15 points, nine of those coming from the free throw line. Jr. Courtney Martin had 11, on 5 for 6 shooting, and sophomore Chandler Jones chipped in 10 for the Mustangs. Shrout and Soliday with 10 points each lead the way for Woodinville.
Redmond moves to 3-2 overall, 2-2 in league play. Woodinville is 3-3 overall 1-3 in league play.
