Some of the things parents should look for is putting their kids in the right position to improve their skills. This is what AAU and summer ball should be about however certain people will come and brag about their alumni, their contacts and their affiliations. Well most parents don't understand that few of these programs actually develop any of these kids and their alumni consists of kids they have been playing or developed by others, they were probably going to play at the next level anyway and they used their so called sponsorships as a ploy. Okay, let's look at sponsorships meaning and to me it means free however getting a free pair of shoes and paying thousands of dollars doesn't add up, especially when signing day comes around and your kid hasn't signed and kids who aren't as talented have. There are teams in the area who were among the so called sponsored and actually did well in the summer events, almost winning SHOWTIMES sponsored division however nothing was on the table for the kids. One kid verballed early but she got her looks from another club, so that doesn't count and our club helped get two other kids in school. There are other teams who have lost franchise players year after year, and with me being a parent a red flag would automaticaly be flashing, DANGER DANGER DO NOT ENTER, and I woul be researching WHY these parents moved their kids. College coaches have told me over the years they don't care what teams win or how many points your baby scores. They are looking for PLAYERS who fit their system and the story about the team coming in secong proves what they were saying is true. I notice some of the folks who are posting here have younger kids and you all don't know how this works or who you are really dealing with. Well I am here to help and I have an open door policy to do just that. You have peopleout there with all kinds of motives, some felonious and some just down right monetary but again I am here to help. You on't find too many folks willing to speak about this, some parents really believe these STARTUP folks can actually blackball their kids and some are just in it for their own kids, even if they see something hapening that isn't right. Again I am here to help and good luck.
