What are some preseason picks for the upcoming season? Any thoughts on preseason rankings, projections, etc?

I like Jackson to win the south...easily I might add. In the north I like Snohomish, with Jackson winning the district title. Meadowdale should get out of the 3a, its so weak, at least locally. The 2a Arch Bishop has some peices that may get them to the dome, but the north is good again

The only difference I have is Lake Stevens in the North. Meadowdale I think will have a problem winning the South this year, I think that Jackson will best them, then Meadowdale back up again. Jackson has a 6'3" Soph. She had some foot problems last year. Anyone heard if she is back at 100% ?? I know a name would help, but I need to ask my source.

I think you are talking about Christy Cain. She had a bad foot last year but seems to be healed as she has been playing on Jackson's volleyball team. I don't know her plans for playing basketball.

Agreed Jackson over Meadowdale. Kingma will make her last year to shine a quality one...e.g. vandersloot last year.

First practice is Monday 12 November. So after thanksgiving weekend we can get back to watching and talking about it. Whomever gave me the Jackson big girls name, thanks. I am 6' 2" and shrinking. She is a lot taller than I am. Jackson has one big girl that transfered from ABM I think. She is 6' 2". But from my source, the Soph is the one they think will be the one. If she is playing volleyball, that is a good sign.
A Question: How do you put a quote in here. I have looked all over the place and I find NADA. So help a fella out.

I think Jackson's post is named Natalie Harkness?

Natalie Harkness played for Jackson last year and I believe she is a senior this year, although I am not sure, she may be a junior. She is around 6'2" as well. More playing time and getting more aggresive inside will help her this year.

I am not sure about a transfer from ABM but I can check.

Look for a bigger impact from Chanel Sam this season. She is a super athlete and should be a lot more comfortable in her sophomore season.

With Ashley Bruns (underrated), Ashley Todd and Sarah O'neill returning along with Kristi's leadership, Jackson has a good shot at doing well at State again this year.

Watch out for Murphy this season. They were very good last year with a young team. Now with some experience under them and a good Freshman class they look to be strong for a few years to come.

That was the sub last year. I am talking about the Frosh that had to sit with foot problems last year. I was told her name is Christy cain. I still have to check my source. I am 6' 2" and she is taller than I am.

I double checked with my source and she did transfer from Archbishop Murphy.

I can confirm that it indeed was Natalie Harkness who transferred from Murphy.

Jackson has a core of seniors (Kristi Kingma, Ashley Bruns, Ashley Todd, Sarah Oneill, and Natalie Harkness) and a team that is virtually unchanged from last year. Chanel Sam and Erin Feeney are back who saw a fair amount of time last year. The roster is filled out with a few sophomores who started on JV last year and saw some limited action on Varsity. This is the last season for Kristi, Ashley, Ashley and Sarah playing together after many years. Hopefully they can go deep into state to top off the memories!

The Apple Cup starts at 4:00 so if you think about heading to Garfield - go early or at least stay away from Husky Stadium
