3:40 pm Southwest Dekalb High (GA) vs. Dorman High (SC)
In a match-up of two top programs regionally year in and year out, Southwest Dekalb (Kathy Richey-Walton) and South Carolina commit 60 PF Charanee Stephens will attempt to give Dorman (Kristy Ray) and their 61 Senior Forward LaShanna Booker all they can handle. Booker, who is going to Furman, will be joined by fellow Class of 2009 college prospects 58 PG Fanchon Sartor and 63 Post Ashlyn Dewart. Southwest Dekalb has 58 Senior Guard Eboni Mitchell and rising star 59 Sophomore Wing Kayla Lewis as well.
5:20 pm Buford High (GA) vs. Marist School (GA)
The battle of local programs will feature the resurgent Class AA Buford (Gene Durden) program lining up against a Class AAAA Marist (Kim Hixon) team that has made the state championship game two years in a row. Buford features two junior class frontcourt players in 63 SF Blanche Alverson and 510 PF Jocelyn Danley. Alverson is currently in the Top 10 in the Southeastern Hoops Report. Marist will feature 510 Senior PF Frederica Miller. Miller is one of the top uncommitted seniors in the region.
7:00 pm Wesleyan School (GA) vs. Bishop McGuinness School (NC)
In the nightcap, two-time defending Class AA state champion Bishop McGuinness (Brian Robinson) will take on the host Wesleyan (Jan Azar). The host Lady Wolves are led by 62 Junior Wing Anne Marie Armstrong. Theyll also feature 54 Sophomore PG Judean Hanks and 58 Junior SG Erin Hall. The Lady Villains are as loaded as always. This season their firepower rests squarely on the shoulders of 63 Junior Post Erinn Thompson and newcomer 60 Freshman Wing Whitney Knight. Armstrong, Thompson and Knight are all in the Southeastern Hoops Report Top 15 in the class, and all three are drawing the interest of multiple ACC/Big Ten/SEC schools.
