With the opening of first practice around the country many fans are attending open workouts over the next few days.
Are there any players on your favorite team that make you say
"Wow!!! She's better than I thought"
The player could be taller, stronger, faster, better dribbler or a better shooter than last year.
Tell us who she is and why she made you say, Wow!!!!!!
With hope we will hear about some schools and players we never talk about.

Hey Brooklyn when does Stanford start their open practice? Is it Today? I couldnt find anything on www.gostanford.com or on www.stanfordfbc.com . Hey we are off to a nice 2009 start with interests from #4 Skylar Diggins, #13 Joslyn Tinkle, and #60 Mariah Williams.
I was reading the interviews of the four freshman (Pedsersen, Pohlen, Donoughe, and Cimino) on the fbc website, and i think these freshman will add aloto of talent to the stanford roster and make them a highly considered final four contender. I think we can say Uconn, Tenn, and maybe Maryland are locks for the final four, but I truly believe STanford can do it this year.

The key to Stanford's chances for a Final Four berth are:
1) the playing status (i.e., health) of sophomores Roslyn GOLD-ONWUDE and JJ HONES - although fellow second-year teammate Melanie MURPHY can be an adequate PG for long stretches, now that she has one year of college experience under her belt, they need Ros and JJ to be at full strength by mid-season so that Candice WIGGINS can concentrate on what she does best - scoring;
2) consistent outside shooting help for Candice - this was an important ingredient to Stanford's Elite 8 run in 2005 (with 2005 grads SUMINSKI, KING-BORCHARDT, KIMYACIOGLU) and 2006 (with 2006 grad RAPPAHAHN), but was evidently lacking last season; hopefully, Ros, JJ, and newcomers Ashley CIMINO, Hannah DONAGHE, and Jeannette POHLEN can help out in this respect
3) adequate back-up at the post for Jayne APPEL (with the graduation of Brooke SMITH and Kristen NEWLIN), and for her to keep out of foul trouble
