Will announce her decision by 6 pm today. Reported by her AAU coach/relative on the Purdue message board. Purdue is expected to be one of her finalists. :D

Are you related to Ms. Phillips? Do you have some sort of inside info? It's a very good chance she will be headed to Xavier but we will all know officially at 6.

This makes two top Purdue players lost to Xavier. Best of luck to her.

Looks like they have a top notch front court now. Who has the scouting reports on their current backcourt and the incoming folks?

I don't know if there could be much of a scouting report. They graduated five seniors, including the entire starting backcourt, the starting center and the #6 off the bench. The only "experienced" guard is Jerri Taylor, a rising junior PG known more as a defender. Alesia Barringer, a freshman who averaged about 1.3 pts in 8 minutes is the only other guard that played. Neither is an outside scorer.
Unless they get some help from some incoming freshmen, I bet they see a lot of zones.

My question is to those more knowledgeable than I. Purdue had some NCAA investigation over recruitment. Coach left for Texas Tech. One assistant coach went to Xavier. The two players now at Xavier had previously committed to Purdue I assume had been recruited by the same assistant.
I know nothing about the pressures being recruited but I do find it somewhat strange that she would wait so long and then select X. (In comparison the last top rated male player was down to Ky, Florida and Duke and selected Kentucky).
