Is it me...or does anyone else feel like the parkdale summer league games are a bit chaotic?...I was around to witness some of the action there this weekend...but the games I was scheduled to see, was delayed approximately 2hours!...After the delays and dissapointments DALIST was actually able to witness a bundle of talent! Was anyone else in the house?...Were you all able to witness any talent as well...:cool:

The IH was in the house this past Saturday, checking out the Parkdale action. These four stood out to the IH:
1. Elashier Hall, Team Excel - this girl has always been assertive and forward-moving for Eleanor Roosevelt; now, she's gotten smoother in her offensive attack, as she's added a smooth stroke, off-the-dribble, inside the 3-point line; she's evolving into a really nice 2-guard;
2. Joy Bettis, Panthers - she's always been overly-aggressive--but sometimes out-of-control--for Montrose Christian; now, she's making better decisions on-the-move on offense; she's passing into the post much better now, and she's very good at getting to the basket; and makes her free-throws, which she shoots a lot of, too;
3. Nikita Reddy, Panthers - she's seemingly not all-that; but she makes a very high number of plays, on both sides of the ball, for that Montrose Christian team, which functions much smoother when she's on the floor; the IH would like to see her develop a consistent outside shot;
4. skinny girl, about 5'7"-5'8", with short dreads, Team Excel - this girl showed a lot of quicks, on both sides of the ball; a nice stroke out to 3-point range, and some nice quicks into the mid-range jump shot; she also showed some lateral quicks on defense, and some quick and active hands.
There were about 4-5 other younger girls, on various teams, who showed some aggressiveness and assertiveness with a purpose, in running around. I'd like to see them a couple more times, before I blast them on these boards...

Who did the Panthers play against? We played them 2 weeks ago and they really didn't have anyone standout except for Bettis, who I know very well.

I believe they played against the Beltway Lady Cougars 9th-grade team, and against the Team Excel top crew.

The skinny girl plays for T. Roosevelt I also do not know her name, but thought it might help someone else identify her. I saw her play once and liked how she played especially in the open floor.

Yeah IH...DALIST was pretty impressed with Miss Hall as well...There was a G/F that played on that team too that was pretty active. Dark skin with a pony tail I think her name is Applewhite...she was pretty active in the post and could handle the ball well. Whenever the skinny girl had the ball I heard the coach scream Raver..or Reven...I think that is the girls name. I was pretty dissapointed in the playing time the 9th grade kid from Forestville gets on that Beltway team! She is much more talented than most of the players on her team..yet she rides the bench. I can't name all the kids that were there...but overall, there was definately a couple of players in the building!

Mr Dalist,

The players name from forestville is tiera smith and she does not usually ride the bench but this weekend her time was limited because of team rules that were broken. Furthermore what do you mean by THAT beltway team?

The RBR feels that Miss Tiera is a top-ten player, so far, in that MD/DC/VA 2010 class. But, part of the responsibility of BEING a top player is to handle that business, at ALL times...

No harm intended by the term "THAT BELTWAY TEAM"...u can relax!...& furthermore I am with IH..To be Big Time you must handle your business both ON & OFF of the court!

Miss Smith is going to be one of the best players in this area, all she needs is a team to help her, and a coach to teach her the talent that she has in a team concept, I never had a problem with her when she played for me. She is a real talent, and as time goes buy she will learn to handle her business on and off the court. Open floor game she can go with the best of them, scoring is her strength and in a close game give her the ball and she can win it fir you.

By the way, sports fans, Parkdale's 2007-class shooting-guard Zakia Brown has signed with D.C.'s Howard University...
