You won't see an abundance of Texas posters over here because many don't like change. So, for those who are interested the top 5 teams in no particular order are
Bellaire
CyFair
Dulles
Ft Bend Marshall
Nimitz
Cinco Ranch is capable of moving someone out of the top 5 but those are my preseason picks.

Does Brittainy Griner have a solid supporting cast at Nimitz?

First of all; Simmie has Bellaire and Cy-Fair backwards along with Marshall being over rated. To answer Nnekafan's question:
Cy-Fair - Nneka & Chiney Ogwumike
Bellaire - Jasmine Hartman
Dulles - Kelsey Bone & Jasmine Henderson
Nimitz - Brittney Griner
Cinco Ranch - Briana Gilbreath
Interesting tidbits: Cinco Ranch's first three games of the season are Bellaire, Dulles & Cy-Fair.

So when the dust clears who do you think will take it all?
Who are some the notable players on the lower and middle tier teams?
Hey Sim, I saw that comment, so I'll join in. lol... Nnekafan there are a number of quality players, Nimitz (Griner) has a nice Pg named Jessica Diamond, Bellaire has a host of D1 players to go along with Hartman (Zoe Rogers, Annette Davis, Tolu Omatola, Taylor McGilbra, Tamara Marion and Tamara Torru). Marshall has two nice guards (Deitra Caldwell and Chelsea Cunningham). The list of players can go on.

Why don't we just list the full rosters of all of these teams? LOL
Let me take a stab since we're on a tangent:
Cy-Fair - Mansa El (great defensive guard who can handle the ball under pressure regardless of what anyone says).
Cinco Ranch - Kelsey Clinch (transferred from Liberty Hill and was the MVP of their district along with being all region). Demi Clinch (6'-0" sophomore that can light them up from NBA range, plays great defense and sees the floor as good as anyone in Houston. Plays for Cy-Fair Shock).
TxBB24, I was just listing the D1 kids from these teams that I know of. I missed Mansa El I like her game, she is a tough kid! I haven't had the opportunity to see the Clinch kids yet, but you know if they are on Varsity I will see plenty of them. With the loss of Stefanie, they will get a ton of opportunity at Cinco.

I said in NO particular order and either way Rob wins. My thing is this, Bellaire has the best team on paper when you do it player for player. They lose to Cy Fair in the 4 and the 5 spots only and I think they did a great job on the O sisters last year. Guard play is what killed them but if Mansa stays healthy and Morris takes her shot, who knows but you got to have a point and Carli did a fine job after Ursula left who did w fine job after Traci left.

Herb,
I find it hard to believe that you haven't seen Demi Clinch play. She's played for Cy-Fair Shock for about five years and counting. She's D1 material as well but I let you decide that for yourself. I bet if she played for the Blazers, she would of been mentioned in your above post. LOL
TxBB24, has she played on Nneka's team for the last 5 years? Because my teams have always played up and I have only seen the younger shock team once and that was two years ago. I will definitely see her this year, like I said she will have plenty of opportunities to prove that this year and I can't wait to see her play! :) If she would have played for me, I would definitely have first hand knowledge of her game! lol.. But I will see her plenty this year, especially those first 3 games. As far as the girls I mentioned in my earlier post, they are for sure D1 kids that I know of and they are from various club teams. So I don't know where you based that last statement! But once I see her play, I will for sure give her props! Actually I can't wait to see her because I would really like to identify more kids from 2010, Chiney Ogwumike, Chelsea Bass and Mariah Lee are constantly mentioned in that class! Who are the others from that class, I need to get out and see? Hopefully we can sit down and talk about it at one of the games this year.

I can vouch for that. AU-TO-MA-TIC!
What is Sim? Her shot? That is great! Between her and her sister they should definitely help keep the double and triple teams off of Bri! Just think if they were there last year, the last game might not have gone to over time! lol... :)

Mariah Lee? Go ahead and put Demi in that group.
I most definitely will. With you and Sim's endorsement, I can't wait to see her play. Mariah was the freshman that started for Jones HS last year. She averaged double figures, I think close to a double double and was named all district. Really tough physical kid with good skill, that every one was talking about a year ago coming out of middle school.

I'm well aware of her. See Herb, it wasn't that hard to admit. ;)

The older one would have helped before she left. I saw her play in a JV game, yeah I know it's JV but the kid was catching and shooting, coming off screens, man she must have had 7 or 8 threes and she probably played a bit over a half.

Clinch is a future All State player and one of the top 5 along with the kid from ARods team, little Dugie. Grubbys baby has got to be mentioned because she has tremendous upside along with Rodnesha Milam, who is raw. I will be looking early because it's plenty kids I'm forgetting.

I agree with Simmie's assessment but this year will tell all where the local 2010's rank.
